Poltrona launch new homeware collection

Poltrona Frau, who sell some of Italy’s finest furniture offerings, have announced their new homeware collection. Inspired by historical furniture designs, Poltrona say the latest collection to be unveiled at London Design Festival 2020 “borrows from the past, to better inform the future”. One thing is for sure, they chose a standout location to shoot the new pieces in; stunning frescos form the backdrop for these sleek new pieces.

One of the key pieces to emerge from the collection launch is this Times Armchair, designed by Spalvieri and Del Ciotto. An update to the range which previously saw the Times Bed launched back in 2018. The designers have ‘transposed the same agility and streamlined look into a new armchair.” The armchair consists of an ultra-light  structure combined with a generous cover - the overall effect is that of a well tailored, Italian suit. It’s svelt.

This one’s no newbie. However, The Poltrona Frau Chester Line sofa has been deconstructed and reimagined for 2020 living; a new modular system allows you to - essentially - pick ‘n’ mix your Chester to suit your needs. There’s a variety of modular sections to choose from.

Last but by no means least, Poltrona Frau have released a special 90th anniversary model of their acclaimed Vanity Fair Chair. The Modello 904 Chair, launched in 1930, has been known as the Vanity Fair chair since 1984. Oozing design detail, it has stood the test of trends and fashion, becoming an icon of Italian furniture design. Leather is of course the brand’s chosen medium, and they are synonymous with creating pieces in leather. Leather-covered hand-beaten nails are tacked to the Vanity Fair Chair to create an almost seamless finish to those unmistakable Art Deco era lines. Want.
