NY, Soren Rose' Park Avenue apartment

At 6,000 square feet this New York City apartment has already caught our attention just on living space alone. But couple this with interior design by Soren Rose Studio and furniture from Fritz Hansen, well, what’s not to love?

With remarkable elements like a dark verde Alpi marble wall sourced from the same quarry that Mies Van der Rohe got his marble from for the original Barcelona Pavilion, this project is thoroughly executed. It bridges past to present with easy elegance and reflects a deep appreciation for context and detail. The overall result is a dream-like New York residence.

In the Living Room the elegant Hansen furniture sits atop a gigantic and timeless Berber rug.

The Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen, seen above in grey, is a staple of Danish design with organic curves that take on different ethos in every leather, fabric and colour. It is recognised worldwide as an essential modern design, one of the triumphs of Jacobsen’s legendary career, and a technical achievement in craftsmanship.

The hallway incorporates multiple windows with a standout feature staircase. It’s curved shape is extenuated by a verde Alpi marble feature wall surface. The marble has been sourced from the same quarry as marble used for Mies Van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion.

An at home office space is fitted with crafted wood cabinetry and a daybed. We’re reminded of Jim Ede’s home in Cambridge, Kettles Yard, which features a daybed in every room - particularly the work and office rooms.
